Steel Perimeter Fencing for Yards, Storage Lots and Business Properties

We phase every run around occupied properties, keeping the yard working behind a temporary panel so trucks, staff and deliveries are never shut out. Backed by 12 years in business and a 2-year workmanship warranty on our welds, hinges, footings and operator installation, we have completed over 1,187 projects, from a single operator retrofit to full perimeter packages with gates.

From the property walk and the run takeoff to the post layout and handover walkthrough, our team handles the steps that decide whether a perimeter goes in on schedule. What a Commercial Security Fence Includes

A commercial security fence is the steel pickets or panels, the posts and footings, the gates and the finish, specified as one run so the line looks the same from end to end. A chain link yard fence had been cut twice at an equipment yard off US 183, so we built galvanized steel pickets with a black powder coat on 240 linear ft of 6 ft perimeter fence, with the street side first.

Steel Pickets Versus Chain Link for a Yard

Steel pickets cost more per foot than chain link but stop a cut-through the way mesh cannot, and they make the street side look finished. Ornamental steel fence uses tubular steel panels 4 to 6 ft tall, galvanized and powder coated, set on poured posts.

Commercial Fencing Pricing

A pool safety fence typically runs an estimated $30 to $45 per linear foot over an estimated 1 to 3 days, the low end of what a perimeter run costs per foot. Ornamental steel fence typically runs an estimated $50 to $85 per linear foot over an estimated 2 to 4 days, and a hand-forged iron fence typically runs an estimated $85 to $130 per linear foot over an estimated 3 to 6 days where a front line has to carry the property. A pedestrian gate in the run typically costs an estimated $600 to $1,500 and takes an estimated 4 to 8 hours, and a trackless cantilever gate for a truck entrance typically costs an estimated $6,000 to $10,000.

Troy's equipment yard off US 183 had a chain link yard fence that had been cut twice, and the street side needed to look finished. We ran 240 linear ft of 6 ft perimeter fence in galvanized steel pickets, black powder coat, at an estimated $13,500 to $18,500 over an estimated 2 to 4 days on site. We ran steel pickets on the street frontage first and kept the yard working behind a temporary panel, so the frontage now reads as a finished fence and the yard stayed open through the install.

Posts, Footings and the Soil Under a Fence Line

Williamson County sits across the Balcones Escarpment, with dark blackland clay to the east and limey loam to the west, and we check the ground at the property walk and set the footing depth from what we see.

Fence Gates and Access Control

Video intercom, keypad or phone entry typically runs an estimated $680 to $3,800 per system, and an operator retrofit on an existing gate typically costs an estimated $1,800 to $3,800 per operator system over an estimated 4 to 8 hours. A fence line that crosses a fire lane follows the Round Rock Fire Marshal's Emergency Access Controlled Gate Systems Guidelines of July 2023, which are written for fire-lane gates and which we apply to any commercial gate we build across one.

How a Commercial Fence Bid Is Built

A commercial fence bid runs in four steps from the property walk to the handover walkthrough.

  1. Property walk: fence length, grade, gate locations, power for any operators and the soil found on site.
  2. Written bid with a layout drawing, then fabrication, galvanizing and powder coat in our shop.
  3. Phased install, street frontage first, with the yard kept working.
  4. Walkthrough with the owner and a written handover that records the finish and the gate tests.

Why Property Owners Choose Us

Every commercial fence carries our 2-year workmanship warranty on our welds, hinges, footings and operator installation, plus the maker's coverage on aluminum panels and operators, usually 1 to 5 years on electronics and motors.

Commercial Fencing Service Areas

We bid commercial fencing across a 35-mile radius of the shop, from yards and storage lots in Round Rock to properties in Cedar Park, Georgetown and Leander. Lakeway, Steiner Ranch, West Lake Hills, Barton Creek, The Hills and Shady Hollow lie inside that radius as well.
